Employee Onboarding and Risk Management Services

TEBA assists our customers with the onboarding process and management of employee-related risks. Known as TOM (TEBA on Mine) services, TEBA provides a high-touch service for both Mineworkers and Contractors working on site, ensuring that each individual is screened and has a comprehensive and updated record available at all times. These offices further connect our customers and employees with all other TEBA services.

Our services include:

  • Enrolment and storage of fingerprint and photographic biometrics
  • Screening against the TEBA mineworker database of approximately 1.8 million current and former mineworkers
  • Screening against the Department of Home Affairs, ensuring that the ID and name and surname provided are consistent with the fingerprints
  • Screening against mine and community requirements

Worker Enrolment, Data Storage, and Administrative Support

  • Capturing and confirmation of employee biographical data
  • Capturing of residential, demographic, and other data required for EEA, SLP, and other reporting
  • Capturing and maintenance of Medical Aid and Pension Fund details
  • Capturing and maintenance of bank account details (Optional)
  • Capturing and storage of relevant documentation for each employee, including ID, passport, qualifications, legal appointments, certificates, medical exit, etc.

Record of Service

  • Update occupations and service history, including: engagement dates, transfer dates, sites, job description, and termination information

Beneficiary Nominations

  • Nomination of dependents for pension and provident fund pay-outs
  • Nomination of beneficiaries for other types of cover, including group life, funeral, etc.
  • Updating nominations annually, ensuring each update is biometrically validated

Immigration Services

  • Corporate visa application support
  • Engagement with the Department of Home Affairs and Border Management Authority
  • Management of the immigration process for employees
  • Collection and disbursement of mandatory deferred pay in Lesotho and Mozambique

Data Interchanges and Process Optimisation

  • The information generated through the TEBA process streamlines numerous functions downstream, including HR, Payroll, Employee Benefits, etc.
