Welcome to TEBA Development
In 2001, TEBA Limited re-launched as an organization and made a commitment to apply its facilities and infrastructure to improving the lives of rural people.
As part of this rural development initiative, TEBA Development was established as a not-for-profit (Section 21 Company) Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
The purpose of TEBA Development is to play a leading role in a collective endeavour to improve living conditions and livelihoods of communities that have provided labour to the mining industry for decades.
Rural Development Projects
- Agriculture Programme X Enabling agricultural entrepreneurs in rural areas to increase their income.
- Schools Assistance Programme An intervention to improve education infrastructure in targeted rural areas of Southern Africa.
- HIV/AIDS Home-Based Care Programme A Home-based Care programme that utilizes the strength of rural community networks to provide care and support to HIV/AIDS affected and infected mineworkers, their families and communities.
- Water and Sanitation Provision Programme Aimed at improving water and sanitation in rural villages and at rural schools.
- Skills Development and Training Programme Skills Development and Training Programme increases economic opportunities in targeted rural areas of Southern Africa.
- Social and Labour Plan Support Support services are provided to the mining industry in socio-economic surveys and in writing and planning of their social and labour plans.
- Fatal Accidents Education Funds Teba Development is administering education funds of the mining industries; sustaining the education of the children of deceased mineworkers.
- SCI Infrastructure An initiative providing infrastructure support to mineworkers with disabilities.
- Food Security Programme An initiative aimed at improving food production in poor households of targeted rural areas of Southern Africa.

TEBA Limited
TEBA Limited is a service organisation primarily responsible for the recruitment of mineworkers for the South African mining industry.
In addition, it carries out a vital role in ensuring the payment of various benefits (as well as savings) to workers and their families in rural areas of Southern Africa.
