The TEBA Recruitment division has established labour pools to provide a ready supply of labour for the mining industry. These pools are populated with applicants who meet established industry standards, but which may be adapted to suit the specific needs of clients.

Client needs may include community specific recruitment, women in mining, and also, literacy levels and physical abilities.

Labour pools include details of novice, skilled and, specialised skills, which allow for quick and easy access to these skills.

Prior to be placed in a labour pool, individuals undergo a physical examination to ensure that they are able to undergo further assessments. Fraudulent documents are screened out and ID documents verified, after which a record is created on our labour pool system for the individual.

Standard assessments include:

  • Physical Rating Index which assesses an individuals' endurance ability.
  • Physical Ability Assessment which assesses an individual's strength and endurance ability.
  • Motor Skills Assessment which assesses an individuals' hand eye coordination and reaction speed.
  • Body Mass Index which assesses an individual's healthy body weight based on a persons' height and weight.
  • ABET Numeracy and Literacy assessment which assesses an individual's numeracy and literacy levels.

Assessment results are captured to the individuals' personal record.

Candidates who meet the required criteria are readily available via TEBA for interviews and recruitment by clients.

Upon request we also provide the following additional screening services to our clients:

  • Identity screening.
  • Criminal Record Checks.
  • Qualification verification.
