TEBA Limited provides a range of HR related services to our clients subsequent to the initial recruitment having taken place. These include:
Enrolment and Data Storage
Personal details as well as a photograph and fingerprints are captured and stored in respect of each individual. All of this information assists us with screening out impostors that may pose a security risk to our clients. It also assists us in tracing individuals for a variety of initiatives.
The information is updated regularly which facilitates the creation of a record of service for each mineworker. The record of service is widely used for recruitment purposes and is a valuable instrument for both recruiter and worker alike.
Data is available to our clients through EDI's (Electronic Data Interchanges), thus reducing the need for duplication.
The TEBA Personnel System, commonly known as TPS, is the single largest database of mineworker information in the South African mining industry. It is regularly updated and includes our involvement in the entry and exit processes of our clients.
Immigration Services
We assist mines with immigration issues relating to foreign mineworkers, including corporate work permit applications for Junior / Semi skilled (Cat 3-8) employees as well as assistance for General Work Permit applications for senior employees.
Deferred Pay
We process deferred pay for mineworkers from Lesotho and Mozambique. These mineworkers are required by inter-governmental labour sending agreements to remit a portion of their income back to their respective countries. The service is simple to use, extremely safe, yet effective and reliable. We ensure that the correct individual is paid by means of biometric fingerprint identification. Individuals are also able to withdraw their deferred pay in their country of origin, which limits the risk of transporting large sums of money.
Transport Services
We provide a transport service for medically incapacitated workers. The service may be used to send individuals back home, or, to transport individuals for medical check-ups at local clinics and hospitals. We use appropriately equipped vehicles, with well trained staff, and may, upon request, transport individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Death/Bereavement Reporting
TEBA staff are well trained, professional, and aware of the cultural sensitivities when advising a family of their loved ones death. We inform the family at their homes, provide counselling, and, also advise the family of any benefits they may be entitled to. We pay out a death benefit advance, relay information back to the employer, and assist with all the necessary arrangements for mine officials to attend the funeral. If necessary we will also arrange for the family to travel to the deceased workers place of employment.
Official Visits
We assist our clients with official visits to communities where they are stakeholders. This includes labour sending areas both within and outside of South Africa. We also accompany our clients to ensure that all customary requirements are adhered to and that the trip is a success.
The service is especially relevant in cases where mine officials need to attend funeral services, or inspect the progress of their corporate social responsibility programmes.
Trips may also be planned for recruitment purposes. In such instances we will ensure that the recruitment drive is as successful as possible by linking recruiters with candidates from our vast network of labour pools. (See Recruitment Services)
Kiosk Service
Our kiosks are the ideal platform for the cheap and effective sharing of information with employees. The Kiosk may be situated on the mines premises, or in the TEBA Ltd office.
Biometric identification of workers allows for the distribution of payslips on mine premises, limiting the time and resources needed for physical distribution.
